Performance Features
Whipping out 270 horsepower, a 4.0-liter engine block is standard on the 2024 Toyota 4Runner. This traditional V-6 engine pumps out 278 pound-feet of torque at 4,400 RPM. Creating five gear speeds, the (ECT-i) system works well with the six-cylinder engine. A part-time 4WD system extracts torque from the signature transmission system. This versatile drivetrain incorporates the trademark Active Traction Control (A-TRAC) technology. The 4WD system works even better on rough terrains with additional leverage from a locking rear differential. Thanks to the iconic Multi-Terrain Select (M-TS) driving modes, you can confidently tackle off-road trails. A 9.6-inch ground clearance further improves off-road trekking. The 2024 4Runner has a 33-degree approach angle for enhanced versatility on uneven surfaces. With help from the Crawl Control, you can climb hills with greater confidence. The TRD Off-Road edition also offers the optional Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System for enhanced all-terrain comfort. You’ll get the exclusive TRD FOX shock absorbers and TRD-tuned front springs on the TRD Pro model. This high-end trim wears aluminum front skid plates with a stamped design. Both Toyota SUVs are equipped with skid plates on the transfer case, engine block and front suspension.
Amenities
The 2024 4Runner TRD Off-Road has a single-zone climate control system with rear air vents. You’ll get a dual-zone HVAC system with rear air vents on the 2024 4Runner TRD Pro. A heated steering wheel is standard on this high-end Toyota SUV. Fabric upholstery covers the TRD Off-Road’s comfortable seats. The trademark SofTex material covers the TRD Pro’s seats. Both vehicles have an eight-way driver’s seat and a four-way front passenger’s seat. Red stitches add some signature styling to the TRD Pro’s front headrests. Both 4Runner models have a 120-V power outlet in the rear cargo area. Additionally, these versatile vehicles have a large center console with pen holders and tissue holders.
Technology Features
An 8-inch touch screen is standard on the 2024 4Runner TRD Off-Road. This multimedia console includes an eight-speaker sound system with HD Radio and SiriusXM Satellite Radio. The TRD Pro boasts an enhanced infotainment system with 15 JBL speakers and Dynamic Navigation. You’ll even get Amazon Alexa on this high-end multimedia center. Both Toyota SUVs have a one-year Safety Connect trial, including roadside assistance. The 4Runner TRD Pro offers 12 months of complimentary access to Remote Connect. Both 4Runner editions come with a free month of Wi-Fi Connect access. Showing several views of the surroundings, the Multi-Terrain Monitor is standard on the TRD Pro. Additionally, this high-tier model has a Panoramic View Monitor with a Curb View and Overhead View.
