Performance Capabilities

Part of Toyota’s daring Beyond Zero initiative, the i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain is standard on the 2024 Sequoia. Dual turbochargers with electronic wastegates are integrated into the V-6 engine block. Holding nearly 1.9 kWh of electrical energy for rapid deployment, a nickel-metal hydride battery works harmoniously with the powerful gasoline engine. This 288-V battery unites with an electric motor, which spits out 184 pound-feet of torque. When all hybrid parts work together, they produce a maximum of 583 lb-ft and 437 hp. Built on the GDI platform, the 2024 Telluride’s 3.8-L engine stands no chance against Toyota’s hybrid system. This Kia SUV only extracts a mere 291 hp and 262 lb-ft from the six-cylinder engine block. An eight-speed automatic transmission works with the Kia Telluride’s naturally aspirated V-6 engine. You could access two more gear speeds from the 2024 Sequoia’s automatic transmission. This full-size Toyota SUV now offers up to seven selectable modes for the ECT-i system, including the Custom, Sport S, and Tow/Haul. You can only access four settings from Kia’s standard Drive Mode Select, such as the Smart. However, the Telluride offers an AWD system with the Snow Mode and a center-locking differential. You’ll enjoy greater off-road capability with the Sequoia’s 4WDemand system, Multi-Terrain Select, and Downhill Assist Control. Additionally, this three-row Toyota model offers skid plates and all-terrain tires from FALKEN’s signature WILDPEAK series.

Technology Features

Technology Features

A 14-inch multimedia system serves as a technological anchor inside the 2024 Toyota Sequoia. You will see many widgets and apps on the enormous touchscreen, including the latest Toyota Connected Services. By contrast, the 2024 Kia Telluride’s infotainment display only measures 12.3 inches wide. Entry-level trims come with an instrument display that measures just 4.2 inches. Only high-end models offer a 12.3-inch instrument cluster. You’ll get such a large instrument display on every 2024 Sequoia model. Additionally, this eight-seat Toyota SUV boasts up to 14 speakers with custom JBL designs. The Kia model’s best audio system from Harman Kardon only has ten speakers.

The upscale Sequoia even offers two 120-V AC ports for charging large electronic devices. You’ll only get one 110-V AC inverter inside the Telluride. Additionally, both three-row SUVs offer roughly 87 cubic feet of cargo volume when all rear seats are folded to the lowest positions.
