Performance Features
Kicking out slightly over 200 horsepower, the Dynamic Force engine is the primary source of propulsion for the 2023 Toyota RAV4 XLE and XLE Premium. This inline-four powertrain cranks out just above 180 pound-feet of torque. Taking advantage of the Electronic Throttle Control System with intelligence (ETCS-i) technology, the I-4 engine responds instantly to your input. You can manually engage the Eco, Normal, and Sport modes for the 2.5-liter engine block. Each setting precisely adjusts the eight-speed automatic transmission system, which is entirely built on the latest Direct Shift platform. Both models are capable of pulling a 1,500-pound trailer per SAE J2807 rules. A 1,050-lb payload is another notable capability of each trim. These compact Toyota crossover SUVs achieve segment-leading traction on off-road trails thanks to the proprietary Multi-Terrain Select. An all-wheel drive (AWD) system forms a great pair with the M-TS bundle. Therefore, you can easily conquer rough landscapes with some help from the Mud & Sand Mode. Your off-road adventures will go far if you apply the Rock & Dirt Mode as needed. Each RAV4 model also gets good traction on paved roadways thanks to a boost from the Active Cornering Assist. When running on an AWD, these compact Toyota crossover SUVs get 33 mpg on the highway. You’ll get slightly better fuel economy with the standard front-wheel drive.
Interior Features
Trimmed in soft fabric, the 2023 Toyota RAV4 XLE’s driver’s seat offers eight positions adjusted by a power-assisted mechanism. The XLE Premium’s driver’s seat is wrapped in corporate-patented SofTex upholstery, a synthetic textile with enhanced durability. Both Toyota models may be equipped with manually controlled heating elements for the first-row seats. Families will get several other great amenities inside these two-row crossover SUVs, like two 12-V power outlets and five total USB ports. However, a wireless charging station and digital rearview mirror with HomeLink are only available on the XLE Premium. This trim also comes with the Smart Key System for opening the doors and power liftgate.
Technology Features
The 2023 Toyota RAV4 XLE has an infotainment system that measures exactly 8 inches wide. A 10.5-inch touchscreen is available for the XLE Premium’s multimedia system. Each model already has full support for wireless syncing of mobile devices via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. A 12-month trial to the Remote Connect technology is included with the purchase of either trim. However, you must buy the Drive Connect services for either vehicle. A one-month subscription to Wi-Fi Connect is an excellent perk for buying these compact Toyota crossover SUVs. Additionally, the XLE Premium edition may be equipped with 11 JBL speakers that provide fantastic acoustics.
