Performance Features
Toyota proudly applies the Beyond Zero concepts to the 2025 4Runner. Built on the next-generation i-FORCE MAX platform, a hybrid powertrain is available for this SUV. The electrified motor has a peak rating of 326 horsepower. The powerhouse develops up to 465 pound-feet of torque with a massive boost from a nickel-metal hydride battery. This efficient powertrain has a towing capacity of 6,000 pounds. A 2.4-liter, turbocharged engine block is incorporated into the hybrid propulsion system. This turbo engine is standard on the entry-level 2025 models. Maximum ratings of the i-FORCE engine include 278 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque. The 2024 4Runner uses natural aspiration in the standard 4.0-L engine. Having a V-6 layout, the traditional powertrain kicks out 270 hp. This six-cylinder engine twists out 278 lb-ft of peak torque. A five-speed automatic transmission processes output from the V-6 engine. This conventional gearbox is compatible with a 4WD system and the Torsen center differential. The 2024 edition has a trailering capability of 5,000 pounds. Both 4Runner versions have the Multi-Terrain Select for extra off-road versatility. The 2025 model has the revised Crawl Control technology, which is more quiet and adaptive than before. Additionally, this all-new trim has greater articulation through the Stabilizer Bar Disconnect Mechanism.
Design Features
The 2025 4Runner was primarily designed by the CALTY team in Michigan. Engineered for enhanced off-road versatility, the TNGA-F platform is smoothly incorporated into the vehicle’s all-new design. This patented architecture includes high-strength steel with a ladder-type frame. You’ll find a combination of classic features and innovative enhancements inside this premium Toyota SUV. For example, the 2025 model retains a roll-down mechanism for the rear window. A quarter glass with a wrapped configuration is another classic feature on the roster. The second row has tumble seats for enhanced versatility and extra cargo space. Both 4Runner models offer roof rails and an array of premium accessories for road trips.
Technology Features
A 14-inch multimedia system takes the spotlight inside the 2025 4Runner. This enormous infotainment console includes next-generation features from Toyota’s Connected Technologies division. You’ll get Wi-Fi Connect and Remote Connect subscriptions for both models. A head-up display adds a new level of technological advancement to the 2025 model’s cockpit. This all-new trim also flaunts a digital instrument cluster that measures 12.3 inches wide. Both Toyota SUVs are available with a sound system from JBL. A wireless charging hub is available on the all-new 4Runner version. You can use USB-C ports to charge your mobile devices inside the cabin.
