2025 Toyota Camry Performance Features

Engineering

Toyota unveils an updated hybrid powertrain for the 2025 Camry. Using proprietary engineering, the company improves the total output from the latest hybrid engine. The all-new model harnesses 225 net horsepower from the standard propulsion system. An all-wheel drive delivers an extra seven horsepower for even better performance. Rated at nearly 252 V, a lithium-ion battery pack provides an instant electrical power output. This improved battery feeds two motors, which ultimately drive the wheels. A 259-V Li-ion battery pack is available on the 2024 Camry. When operating at a threshold level, the model’s hybrid system generates 208 hp. Both hybrid trims use a continuously variable transmission system for precise and efficient shifting. The 2024 Camry edition is also available with the Direct Shift gearbox, which delivers up to eight ratios. Each midsize sedan offers the EV Mode, which turns off combustion cycles in the gas engine. You could deploy the Sport Mode for more thrilling handling on the road. Speaking of sporty handling, the 2024 Camry offers a V-6 gas engine with a 301-hp rating. Both Toyota cars have the Eco Mode, which yields up to 53 mpg on the highway.
