Efficiency
Taking advantage of the Dynamic Force technology, a 2.5-L engine is the main mechanical gem on the 2023 Camry XLE Hybrid and XSE Hybrid. This four-cylinder, normally aspirated powertrain generates 176 horsepower when burning regular gasoline. When rotating slightly faster than 5,000 RPM, the I-4 engine develops 163 pound-feet of torque from pure mechanical cycles. Kicking out 88 kW, an electric motor augments the internal combustion engine. Having an operational threshold of 650 V, the motor instantly unleashes nearly 150 lb-ft. A 259-V lithium-ion battery regulates the amount of electricity that flows to the motor. The signature hybrid engine pumps out just under 210 net hp. Both Toyota sedans run on a continuously variable transmission (CVT) system. With reliable help from the Sequential Shift Mode, you’ll never have to hunt for gears. As a high-end trim, the 2023 XSE Hybrid appropriately rides on a sport-tuned suspension system for enhanced lateral and vertical support. Rolling on front-wheel drive, these Toyota hybrid sedans offer a combined fuel economy of 46 mpg. You’ll get class-leading driving ranges in the city and on the highway thanks to the 13.2-gallon fuel tank and a hybrid powertrain.
Technology Features
Standing prominently on the 2023 Toyota Camry XLE Hybrid’s dashboard, the 9-inch touch screen offers a truly immersive experience. You’ll also find this large display inside the 2023 Camry XSE Hybrid. With a simple pinch, you can zoom in on the maps and other graphics with ease. The updated infotainment console incorporates superb connectivity via Amazon Alexa, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. Both hybrid sedans may be equipped with Dynamic Navigation, which includes a three-year trial to advanced travel-related services from Toyota. These efficient cars also have 12-month subscriptions to Remote Connect and Safety Connect. A 90-day trial to Wi-Fi Connect is another technological perk on the menu. Additionally, these midsize models offer a nine-speaker audio system with superb acoustic engineering by JBL.
Vehicle Amenities
The Smart Key System lets you unlock the front doors on the 2023 Toyota Camry XLE Hybrid and XSE Hybrid. This unique key system also unlocks the trunk. Both midsize sedans boast an efficient climate control system with an electric compressor and other innovative mechanical components. Multi-stage heating is standard on the first-row seats inside these hybrid vehicles. For extra fees, you can unlock a package that adds a heated steering wheel and ventilated elements for the seats. However, you won’t need to pay for the standard leather wrapping on the three-spoke steering wheel. If you want extra convenience for opening garage doors and gates, equip one of the hybrid models with an overhead console with HomeLink. Additionally, these midsize sedans offer an ambient lighting system.
